Yes, you can claim a rebate but you need to see your GP first to get a referral under a Better Health- Mental Health Treatment Plan. As of 1st July 2024, the current Medicare rebate for a 50 minute consultation is $96.65. Without a Mental Health Treatment Plan and valid referral from your GP, you will not be able to claim the sessions through Medicare.
Referrals are valid for the number of sessions shown on the referral letter.
There will be a gap fee for the sessions also. Sessions are required to be paid in full at the end of each session and the Medicare rebate claimed after payment.
Some private health funds cover psychological therapy. Please liaise direct with your health fund to determine if you are eligible, what your policy covers (session limits, time frames etc) and how to claim your sessions.

There is flexibility across the week and will work with you to find a mutually agreeable time. Evening’s Monday and Thursday and available, along with Friday during the day and weekend sessions on request. Please note a higher rate will be charged for weekend sessions.
The rapport between psychologist and client is vital. Please reach out to arrange an initial phone discussion prior to our first session, to discuss your support requirements and together we can determine the best way to proceed.
I understand that your availability can change last minute. If you need to change your appointment time, please provide 48 hours notice. This allows an opportunity to find a new time for you but also allows that appointment time to be available for other clients. Cancellations made within 24 hours will incur a cancellation fee (not including any rebates).
